Petal Palette meets Berry Burst!

Hi Friends,

Both the Petal Palette stamp set and Berry Burst In Color are retiring  ( by June 3rd or until supplies last)

So I decided to create a card using this stamp set (one of my all time favorites!) —and Berry Burst ink!

This is incredibly easy to make!

I stamped the leave with Lemon-Lime Twist ink ( another retiring In Color) and the flowers with berry Burst.

Next I stamped three flowers on scrap paper then using the Big Shot, I cut them out ( Petals & More Thinlits–also retiring)

Popped them up with Dimensionals and of course I HAD to ‘bathe’ them with Wink of Stella!

And for just a bit of extra excitement, I put a Perl in the center of the popped up flowers.

What do YOU think?

Of course no card leaving my house has a naked envelope–so a bit more stamping and voila!

All done! Can’t you imagine this card for almost any occasion?

So friends, this set and Thinlits  are retiring as are all the 2017-2019 In Colors.

Get yours before they are gone!

Simple stamping… as easy as 1,2, 3

Hi Friends,

I just cam back from OnStage in Orlando.

One of the re-visited ideas is to take a look at simpler stamping.

What does THAT mean?

Well, simply, it means to keep your design impressive yet easy..

Here is a card we did at my Monday class.

I LOVE ( I know I’ve said this before, but I do LOVE the Foil -Edged Silver and Gold Paper and envelopes.

They are so easy to use and VERY VERSATILE.

So for this card, I used the Gold Edged Paper and then added a layer of Rich Razzleberry card stock.

Next I cut a piece of the Sweet Soiree DSP ( yes it’s retired but I just had to use it!) and layered it on top.

That paper is gorgeous and it was just enough to give the card some simple elegance.

See how nicely the layer of Rich Razzleberry fits on top of the Gold-Edged card base? Then add the DSP and oh so pretty.

Inside I added a message from the Cake Soiree stamp set –and voila–done deal!

You could use ANY DSP for any occasion. These card and envelope packs are a great deal and fun to use!

What do YOU think?

Now I’m not sure if I’ll be able to control my urges to use more layers and embellishments but every once in a while we’ll do some ‘simple stamping’.

How does that sound to you?

Please let me know your thoughts about simpler, easier stamping.. I aim to please and need YOUR input!

Petal Promenade DSP and Fresh Fig Paper!

Hi Friends,

I LOVE the Petal Promenade Designer Series paper.

The colors are soft and romantic and really have such versatility!

Petal Promenade Designer Series and Fresh Fig Card pare make this a simpple yet elegant card. I also used the Foil-Edged rads and Envelopes in SIlver.

See how beautiful that paper is! There are 4 sheets with trimmable elements–just like the one I used.

For a bit of contrast, I used the Galvanized Metallic paper to border the DSP. Then I added the message and layered it using Layering Ovals Framelits . A little Fresh Fig Shear ribbon for a pop of interest.

I did emboss the Fresh Fig card stock using the Layered Leaves Folder.

What do you think?

The base was made with Gray Granite at 8 1/2 x 4 1/4–scored at 4 1/4″.

The next layer is Fresh Fig cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″ and embossed.

Then the DSP was cut at 3″ square and layered onto a piece of the Galvanized Metallic paper (cut 3 1/4″ square), using Snail Adhesive.

That layer was attached using Dimensionals

Then the message was stamped and pushed through the Big Shot using layering Ovals.

I did the same with a piece of Fresh Fig to back the white layer.

Lastly I cut a piece of the Fresh Fig Sheer Ribbon and attached to the back of the oval.

I can NOT say enough about how much I LOVE the Foil-Edged Cards and Envelopes! They come in either gold or silver and add such a degree of elegance, in my humble opinion!

They are so easy to use and certainly lend a air of elegance to any card you make!

Still Night with Owl

Hi Friends,

This Stampin’ Up!  Still Night Christmas  stamp set is so beautiful!

I love making handmade cards and this set is so realistic.

Stampin' Up! Still Night Bundle handmade card

The owl seems to be overseeing the lay of the land at this peaceful time of the year.

To get the om bray effect, I used Night of Navy ink with my brayer.

To make the moon, I took a 1/3/4″ circle and sponged Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight ink on it.

After stamping the owl and branches, I ran them through the Big Shot using the Night Owl Thinlits.

Popped the owl on with Dimensionals then the moon and branch with Fine Tip Glue.

Then I added the message and snailed that on.

I had to add stars in the sky with White Craft ink and of COURSE they had to sparkle a bit -so out came the Wink of Stella!

Ta-da!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Blizzard Christmas Card

Hi Friends,

I think this Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Blizzard card is simply ELEGANT!

I used Coastal Cabana, Pool Party and Whisper White Card stock, plus the gorgeous stamp set and framelts to create this seasonal card.

Beautiful Blizzard Stampin' Up! Christmas card

I first took the base Coastal Cabana layered a piece of Pool Party on top. Then I stamped the white layer with Coastal Cabana and Pool Party –randomly all over the front with a bit of a diagonal angle.
