Waterfront card for a special thank you!

Hi Friends,

A dear friend asked me to find a suitable card for her Boss’s Appreciation Day.

I did find this thank you which I slightly modified.

Using the Waterfront stamp set is SO EASY!

The photopolymer images are fun to experiment with!

You can literally come up with so many beautiful scenes.

And I believe this set can be used for so many occasions….it’s now one of my favorites!

Waterfront Card with Simple Stripes Embossing Folder

STEPS TO MAKE THIS THANK YOU CARD:

  1. I used Gray Granite as the base cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4.
  2. Then a layer of Night of Navy at 5 1/4 x 4 and embossed with Simple Stripes.
  3. Another layer of Gray Granite at 3 1/2 x 3 and the Whisper White layer at 3 1/4 x 2 3/4.
  4. Using Night of Navy, Gray Granite and Old Olive , I stamped the images.
  5. I also used Thankful Thoughts for the message.
  6. And of course for an added a cute little silver brad for some extra love!

Still Night with Owl

Hi Friends,

This Stampin’ Up!  Still Night Christmas  stamp set is so beautiful!

I love making handmade cards and this set is so realistic.

The owl seems to be overseeing the lay of the land at this peaceful time of the year.

To get the om bray effect, I used Night of Navy ink with my brayer.

To make the moon, I took a 1/3/4″ circle and sponged Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight ink on it.

After stamping the owl and branches, I ran them through the Big Shot using the Night Owl Thinlits.

Popped the owl on with Dimensionals then the moon and branch with Fine Tip Glue.

Then I added the message and snailed that on.

I had to add stars in the sky with White Craft ink and of COURSE they had to sparkle a bit -so out came the Wink of Stella!

Ta-da!

Stampin’ Up! Alpine Adventure Christmas

Hi Friends,

This handmade Stampin’ Up! Christmas card is so reminiscent of times past.

The old fashioned skis, sled, and snow shoes remind me when I was a little girl………….

So onto the card!

I used Real Red, Early Expresso and Very Vanilla card stocks plus the stamp set Alpine Adventure and corresponding Alpine Sports Thinlits.

It was fun using the Buffalo Check stamp with Memento Ink on the Real Red base.

You sure gets LOTS of mileage out of THAT stamp!

The sled was fun to create –two different cut outs then a little snip here and there and voila!

I did add a bit of gold thread for the pull rope and of course splashes of Wink of Stella here and there!

How cute is that???

The greetings came from Merry Christmas to All and Alpine Adventure stamp sets.
