I was asked to take part in a fun blog hop by my friend Catherine Harwood. It's a chance to highlight Stampin' Up Demonstrators and products. First — a project to share.
I was SO excited to do this Framed Paper Project! It's using the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper from our Sale A Bration catalog. I took a piece of the leaf pattern and burnished a variety of colors onto it. Then I simply popped it into the frame and THEN added some butterflies! I LOVE how it looks and so did my friends who came and made one!
You can also see some cards we did–VERY easy and simple–and perfect for a quick note to a friend!
1. What are you working on?
Tomorrow I'll be working on organizing all the amazing SWAPS I got from our Leadership Conference( just returned from Orlando today! –JUST in time for more SNOW!!!).
Then I'll start prepping for two classes I'm holding this weekend –one a Dauber Class and one making Valentine Cards and VERY cute Treat Boxes! I LOVE WHAT I DO!!!!!
2. How does your work differ from others in your genre?
I'm pretty much a creative COPIER! I'm not sure I differ from many of my friends in that respect. BUT I'm ALWAYS looking for ways to use our wonderful products to create/copy or tweak a simple yet fun and useful project. Whether it be cards, 3-d projects, legacy/memory keeping or ANYTHING to do with paper crafting–I love the challenge of the creative process!
3. Why do you create what you do?
I always LOVED kindergarten –the reason?? It was FUN and playful! I remember the white paste and crayons and plastic scissors (that didn't cut much! LOL) and I remember how I truly enjoyed going to school every day and 'playing'.
Here I am –a NUMBER of years later–playing with the same kinds of products and tools –and I LOVE IT!!!
4. How does your creativity process work?
I'm always looking at things with the potential to make something. No matter if it's paper or ink or ribbon, I'm always thinking about how I can use and or incorporate those items into my stamping.
Stampin' Up! makes it unbelievably easy for me –the product line and RESOURCES are truly amazing!
Next Monday Demonstrators Rhonda Morgan and Christine Josti are scheduled to share a project idea and more about their creative process. I met both Rhonda (who lives in Arizona) and Christine (who lives in Massachusetts ) through the silly little rubber stamp! We are fast friends now! I think you'll LOVE what they share with you!
Have a GREAT MONDAY!!!!
hugs, Barbara
