Sunflower Give Thanks Card

Hi Friends,

Perhaps this is one of my all time favorites!

I love sunflowers!

They are happy creations from above!

they make me smile and think of the warm summer and early fall…. I love them

And this card is an example of how fun a sunflower card can be!

It was inspired by a sample in our catalog!

Easy and fast to make.

The base is Whisper White , then a layer of Garden green which I dry embossed with the Petal Burst  Embossing Folder.

A strip of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper, some Burlap Ribbon under a messaged banner, a few stamped and cut out leaves AND a SUNFLOWER and ta-da!

Of course I added a Clear faceted Gem and Wink of Stella for accents.
What do YOU think?

Ok friends… hope you enjoyed this week's series of cards!

Glittery Thank You Daisy Delight

Hi Friends,

Where has the week gone????

Well to start off your fun weekend, take a look at this card!

I know you can't see ALL the glitz,  but it's there and I think it adds just the right amount to make this card a sparkling surprise!

Daisy-delight-thank-you-card-stampin-up-delightul-daisy-DSP

This card starts out on a thick Whisper White card base and then layered with Calypso Coral card stock and Delightful Daisy DSP.

The square was cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies

Look closely!!! It adds the stitching!  How cool is that!?!?

This set comes with circles, ovals and squares!

In my opinion, this set of Framelits is a MUST for any stamper who owns a BIG SHOT!

It's like a basic in my opinion! ( and if you don't own a Big Shot–why not? That too is a basic paper crafting tool!)

The Thank You sentiment was stamped onto the Whisper White square in Calypso Coral ink.

The daisy from the Daisy Delight stamp set was stamped onto Whisper White card stock with Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight ink and then punched out with the coordinating daisy punch.

The gold faceted gems and 5/8" burlap ribbon give this card the perfect shabby chic look.

So what do YOU think??

Wouldn't a set of these make a very nice gift for one of your friends???

Easey-peasey and made with YOUR hands and from YOUR heart!

Check out this video –you can change up the DSP with any of these!

Options, options options!

Any of these can be purchased 24/7 in my online store.

Delightful Daisy Thank You

Hi Friends,

This card just might be one of my all time favorites!

I love love love the Designer Paper and the format. These will make a lovely gift all boxed up with a pretty tag and bow!

What do you think?

Daisy-Delight-Stampin-Up-Delightful-Daisy-Thank-you-card

This card is made on a thick Whisper White card base for that reliable stability we expect from Stampin' Up!

Then I added a layer of Wisteria Wonder cardstock and topped it with DSP.

To cover the seam between the two top layers I adhered those pieces to the Wisteria Wonder layer and then used 1/4" double stitched ribbon in Daffodil Delight.

Note that I adhered it with glue dots and then wrapped it around the the back of the Wisteria Wonder layer to attached in the back. (no frayed edges, yeah!). That layer was then attached the the card base hiding those ends.

I then stamped the daisy from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Wisteria Wonder ink onto Wisteria Wonder card stock and then punched out with the coordinating punch from the bundle.

Of COURSE I accented with some Wink of Stella and a faceted gem for a little sparkle.

The sentiment is stamped in Wisteria Wonder too.

Daisy Delight Thank You Card

Hi Friends,

This week I'm celebrating this beautiful Daisy stamp set and corresponding Delightful Daisy DSP!

Today, Wednesday and Friday you will see some very pretty ideas!

Make sure you check back each day to see what I've been doing!

OK — I might be a bit "old school" but I firmly believe in sending written thank you notes. (and btw, hand written notes are GAINING in popularity once again!!! YIPPEE)

I find special delight in a handmade card delivered by the postman. (I LOVE going to my mailbox, opening the cover and FINDING a DECORATED ENVELOPE! I KNOW it's a special note from a SPECIAL someone!!!!)

I just love this bright and cheery card and can imagine it bringing a smile to someone's face when they open it up.

Thank-you-daisy-delight-delightful-daisy-sampin-up-card

This handmade Thank You card was made on a Crushed Currey card base and layered with Night of Navy card stock with Delightful Daisy DSP over that.

The Daisies from the Daisy Delight stamp set were stamped in Crushed Curry ink onto Crushed Curry card stock and punched out with the coordinating punch, attached together with glue dots and then attached to the card front and accented with a faceted gem in the center. (and of COURSE I just HAD to add some Wink of Stella to the petals!)

A simple "thank you" onto a strip of whisper white is easily flagged at the end using the triple banner punch.

Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper Makes for Quick and Easy Cards

Hi Friends,

Do you ever find yourself in need of a card with not much time to make one?  Here is a simple layout that can be using in a variety of colors for a variety of occasions. These cards are from a class that I did last month.

Sympathy-DSP-lavender
This card is made using the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper layered onto Pear Pizazz and Whisper White card stock on a Pool Party card base. Happy Birthday was stamped in Night of Navy ink. A little stamping with Pool Party ink and a small flower adds to the sentiment on the card front and makes the envelope coordinate nicely. A pretty bow in Pool Party Bakers Twine finishes it off.

Thank-you-DSP-yellow
This card is made using the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper layered onto Old Olive and Whisper White card stock on a Daffodil Delight card base. The 5/8" burlap ribbon goes great with the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper and the 1/4" old olive ribbon brings it all together.  The small flower from the Daisy Delight stamp set stamped in Daffodil Delight makes the set.

Sympathy-DSP-lavender
While we hope we never need a sympathy card, we occasionally do. This card is made using the Stampin' Up! Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper layered onto Pool Party and Whisper White card stock on a Wisteria Wonder card base. A sentiment in Night of Navy ink and some Pool Party flowers on the envelope finishes off our stamping and the pool party ribbon gives our card a finished look.

I encourage you to give these a try. Any of the items used in these cards can be purchased from my online store 24/7.  You can of course always contact me for any assistance you may need.  Keep an eye out for more classes coming up, I hold several a week at my home for those who can attend and offer a "to-go kit" for those unable to attend.

Hugs,

Barbara

Sharing Sweet Thoughts for RMHC

Hi Friends,

Did you know that Stampin' Up! has a partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities around the country?

Each year they have a stamp set dedicated to this cause.  For each one of these stamp sets sold, Stampin' Up! makes a donation to RMHC.

The set that was released with the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog is called Sharing Sweet Thoughts.

Sharing-sweet-thoughts-ladybug-starawberries

This cute set can make a sweet and simple card with some simple layers and just a little bit of stamping and coloring. (Don't forget to add a little something to the envelope to coordinate – those little extra touches help alot!)

Sharing-sweet-thoughts-ladybug-starawberries

You can step this card up by adding some of the Stampin' Up Window Sheet acetate over the jar making it look like actual glass.  Add a little gold trim to the jar lid and some ribbons across the bottom for an adorable "stepped up" card.

Sharing-sweet-thoughts-ladybug-starawberries

If you like the textured look – the Ruffled Dynamic textured impressions embossing folder has been used on the Real Red layer of this card.  Again, the Stampin' Up! Window Sheet acetate gives the jar a glass look.  This time the jar was "left open" giving those ladybugs a way out. Some linen thread and black bakers twine add even more texture.

Sharing-sweet-thoughts-ladybugs

I copied /tweaked those cards from designs I saw on Pinterest!

A change in color and orientation, add a few layers and you get a whole new stepped up look!

— this is where we add the pic of the director you met and tell about the card(s) you gave her —

This picture is at our NEW RMH in Springfield, Massachusetts. Betty Saccoccia is with Skochii, the Director of the House. We gave Skochii those cards to show her how fun and easy they are to make –and of COURSE using the RMHC stamp set!

Do you want to know more about the partnership between Ronald Mc Donald House Charities and Stampin' Up! check out their website.

Hugs,

Barbara
