Stampin’ Up! Thinking of You card

Hi Friends,

This week I’m in Orlando for our 30 year Stampin’ Up! Celebration convention!

One of the FUN things we do is create cards to swap with other Demonstrators ( over 5000 of us!!!)

This is one Swap card I designed.

I used Gray Granite as the base –such a subtle color –I LOVE it!

The next layer is Coastal Cabana embossed with the Layering Leaves Folder.

Then I took a piece of the Silver Foil card stock and layered Frosted Floral DSP on top of that.

Those papers are soooooo beautiful–one side has a muted shimmery appearance to it. GORGEOUS!

The Silver Foil paper makes the designer paper really POP!

SO I swapped these with my house mates  and I’ll show you what I received in return when I’m back in Massachusetts.

I’m SURE I’ll have some gorgeous cards to share with all of you!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Blizzard

Hi Friends,

Once my mind has accepted the fact that snow is tight around my corner, I DO get excited about pretty snowy cards!

AND THIS IS ONE!

I used Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Whisper White card stock.

Stamping with a variety of the snowflake stamps and both corresponding inks was fun –it was completely random!

You can see the shimmery snowflakes?

I used the Blizzard Thinlit Die with Sparkle Glimmer Paper!

Of course you can see the Rhinestone Jewel in the center of a few of the snowflakes–a little extra bling!

Petal Promenade DSP and Fresh Fig Paper!

Hi Friends,

I LOVE the Petal Promenade Designer Series paper.

The colors are soft and romantic and really have such versatility!

Petal Promenade Designer Series and Fresh Fig Card pare make this a simpple yet elegant card. I also used the Foil-Edged rads and Envelopes in SIlver.

See how beautiful that paper is! There are 4 sheets with trimmable elements–just like the one I used.

For a bit of contrast, I used the Galvanized Metallic paper to border the DSP. Then I added the message and layered it using Layering Ovals Framelits . A little Fresh Fig Shear ribbon for a pop of interest.

I did emboss the Fresh Fig card stock using the Layered Leaves Folder.

What do you think?

The base was made with Gray Granite at 8 1/2 x 4 1/4–scored at 4 1/4″.

The next layer is Fresh Fig cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″ and embossed.

Then the DSP was cut at 3″ square and layered onto a piece of the Galvanized Metallic paper (cut 3 1/4″ square), using Snail Adhesive.

That layer was attached using Dimensionals

Then the message was stamped and pushed through the Big Shot using layering Ovals.

I did the same with a piece of Fresh Fig to back the white layer.

Lastly I cut a piece of the Fresh Fig Sheer Ribbon and attached to the back of the oval.

I can NOT say enough about how much I LOVE the Foil-Edged Cards and Envelopes! They come in either gold or silver and add such a degree of elegance, in my humble opinion!

They are so easy to use and certainly lend a air of elegance to any card you make!

It’s VERY easy and fast to make —seriously!

The message layer is a piece of Merry Merlot with a layer of Very Vanilla and then I stamped the message and a flourish of snow at the top.

The front of the card has another layer of Merry Merlot with Very Vanilla card stock.

Stampin’ Up! Farmhouse Christmas!

Hi Friends,

When I first saw this Stampin’ Up! Farmhouse Christmas stamp set, it reminded me of the town I grew up in.

The Ice Man, Fish Man, Rag Man and dairy farmers ALL had pick ups just like this one!

And I remember at Christmas, trees were delivered and picked up in this same truck.

Stampin' Up! handmade Christmas card using Farmhouse Christmas  When I saw this stamp set, I KNEW I had to have it!

First I took  a base of Cherry Cobbler then layered a piece of Mossy Meadow on top.

I did run that layer through the Big Shot with the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder.

Using the Festive Farmhouse DSP, I added a strip to balance the Mossy Meadow layer.

Next I added a piece of Burlap ribbon and beveled and frayed the edges.

I colored the truck image with our Stampin’ Blends in Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight.

Then I cut that image out with the Layering Ovals and backed it with a Cherry Cobbler layer.

Dimensionals popped it up for added interest!

Added a few Rhinestones for the headlights and of course pops of Wink of Stella –and ta-da!
